Sardi Ka Mausam

Sardi ka mausam, lekar aaya khushiya nayi

Anth ho garmi ka, hai yeh ek musibat nayi!

Wajan se zyada kapdo ka bhoj

Koi kaise kare ab toh mauj!

Bahar nikalne ka na kare man

Dubak jao rajai mein bas yehi soche har jeevan!

Thandi hawayein taazi taazi

Laye nayi umenge, tarunayi

Haso, gao aur khilkilao mere man

Kyunki aaya hai sardi ka mausam!

Mein Kaun?

Mein kaun?

Apne papa ki dulari

Bhai ke liye atyachari

Behan ke liye mein bechari

Mummy ki mein pyari

Doston ke liye ek khatarnak bimari

Office mein dikhau samajhdaari

Bahar mujhse duniya haari

Mujhme hai badi hoshiyari

Par ajkal mujhpar chayi hai thodi si bimari

Himmat hai mujhme, karni hai taiyyari

Ho chahe jo kuch, manungi nhi kabhi haar hamari!

Barkha ki Boondein

Ulti seedhi, oochi neechi, aage piche

Padti barkha ki manchali boondein

Lehar lehar, baras baras, shor machati

Yeh pagal matwali boondein

Jaane kisko paas bulaye

Jaane kisko dur bhagaye

Pado par chad k nachti gaati

Phulo k beech chup chup roti

Hat ja pagli, tu kyun itna shor machaye

Saare aasman mein hi toh badal chhaye

Kyun re tu itni bawari

Hua kya tu itna itraye

Mera man bhi saath mein gaaye

Jadu sangeet ka sab par aaye

Raju babloo ghar se niklo

Chup chup ke tum barkha se khelo

Yeh kisi ke haath mein na aaye

Palak jhapkate fur se udd jaaye!

26/11 -- on its First Anniversary

Time heals everything; all pains, worries, tensions, confusion, and, suffering. Is it true? Today, when India, the proud nation, is paying tribute to the martyrs and victims of 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, every eye is wet.

On this fateful day, terrorists held the whole city of Mumbai hostages for nearly 60 hours. In this combat between security personnels and terrorists about 170 people lost their lives and more than 300 people are reportedly wounded. Many foreign nationals were among victims.

Is paying homage the best way to deal with such situations? Do you think the probe in Mumbai terror attacks is satisfied? Responsible for this attack are roaming freely and we are paying homage with candle, flowers and placards, is it enough? Do you think we have done justice to people who fought continuously for around 60 hours?

It is the time to think and join hands against terror...Remember the heroes who never die and will remain in our hearts as an inspiration that evil has short life.

Which Color Do You Want?

Tippy Tippy Tap, Which Color Do You Want? Sounds familiar? Isn’t it?

This is the game which I used to play with friends and sisters, when I was a little girl? The question may seem easy and trivial. But, it is quite important and expressive. Isn’t it?

I love blue as it is the color of sky and water. Watching sky, I think about my limits as sky has no limits. I try to find my horizon and reach when I look up to the sky. Water is free flowing and always running. When stuck in some problems, I look at the water and observe its interesting features, get a new energy of my own and start again.

Red is fiery as my temper. It is the color of passion, aggressiveness and feelings. I love red as my passionate about things that I have in my life.

Green is calm and beautiful color. Being the color of the nature, green is everywhere. It indicates prosperity, and happiness.

The color Yellow indicates the power of the sun that comes everyday to motivate me to start a fresh day. Make my own day, set goals and work hard to achieve them.

Purple is an interesting color. Recently, I catch the fancy of this attractive color as it makes me confident and bold.

For me, orange is sacred color. I wear it on many important religious occasions but also wear in normal days. It brings me peace and luck.

White is the color of purity. It is the color of compassion and emits its power and energy continuously.

Most people misunderstood this color, but I generally associate it with richness and luxury – the color black. The color indicates elegancy, class and formal appearance. I feel black holds a mystery inside. Usually, it refers to a meaning which is hard to imagine or opposite to what it actually appears.

Are We Victims of Emotional Imbalance?

The combat between emotion and practicality is not new. Every day, we exchange a flow of emotions and get hurt in return. Ironically, this cruel barter of emotions still persist, hurting souls, bodies and minds. Overcoming intelligence and sensibility, this cruel exchange of emotions lead our downfall; morally, spiritually, logically and personally.

Navratri: The Colorful Festival Dedicated to Goddess Shakti

Navratri, the colorful festival of nine days, is here once again. Originated from two words, ‘Nav,’ which means nine and ‘Ratri,’ which refers to nights, Navratri is the nine days devoted to the Shakti or Divine Mother. According to scriptures and puranas, Shakti is also known as ‘prakriti,’- the soulmate of ‘purusha.’ Worshippers of Shakti believe that ‘Prakriti’ and ‘Purusha’ are jointly responsible for the creation for the world. These nine days give us an opportunity to explore within us the true knowledge and the power of goddesses that connects us to the divine spiritual power and energy. During these nine days of divine power, human beings help us to liberate from the difficulties of the world.

Shaktipitha in Navratri:
Millions of people visit Skatipithas during these nine auspicious days. Shaktipithas are important pilgrimage temples that are dedicated to Shakti. According to ancient belief, Lord Vishnu had to cut the body of Sati, first wife of Lord Shiva into fifty-two pieces to avoid destruction by her husband who was agitated by Sati’s death. Shaktipithas are temples where these body parts are belived to have fallen. Thus, the nine days are celebrated to dedicate the power of three main goddesses; Lakshmi, Parvati, and Saraswati. During the first three days are prayed for the goddess of energy and action. The first three days are worshipped in the forms of Kumari, Parvati, and Kali which represent the three stages of womanhood; the virgin, responsible and caring wife, and aged, mature and angry old woman. From the fourth to sixth days, goddess Lakshmi is worshipped that symbolizes peace, fulfillment, bliss, and plenty. The final three days are dedicated to goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge.

An Insight on the Creation of Human Beings- the Finest Form of All 'Jeevas'

Recently, I bought a book called, Non-Fiction Collection - Volume 3 by Penguin Publication from the 'International Book Fair' held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It has a chapter on myth and mythology. As an average informed person, my mythological understanding is limited to famous tele-serials thankfully and successfully running on all prominent television channels in India. In this write-up, I have decided to share some of the gyaan that I have acquired from my valued possession.

According to the book, Vishnu is the creator of the universe. Vishnu, while enjoying on his sarp-couch in the ocean of milk, in his deep unconsciousness, created Brahma who sits in the lotus which is attached from the navel point of Vishnu’s stomach. When Brahma came into existence, he found himself very lonely and unaware of his identity as well. In order to know who he was, he tried to discover who he was not. Hence, he thought deeply and created four sons, better known as ‘Sanat-Kumar. Brahma then asked them to produce children; Sanat Kumars didn’t know how to produce children and they could fulfill Brahmajee’s wish. Brahma then created ten more sons called ‘Prajapatis,’ from his deep unconsciousness.

Alike his earlier command, Brahma asked ‘Prajapatis’ to produce children. They were more mature and intelligent than ‘Sanat Kumars.’ They requested their father to give them wives in order to produce offspring. Confused Brahma thought again and from his left organ a creature came into existence who was different from his sons. She was extremely beautiful and had a different body shape.

Her radiance and beauty attracted everyone including her father, Brahma jee. He felt uneasiness and felt strong desire to see her again and again. All four of his heads started following her in all directions, she was scared by the look in his father’s eyes. Her uneasiness forced her to run away from the place and curiosity compelled Brahma jee to follow her. In this chase, the daughter took several female forms such as cow, lioness, mare, and others. To match her different forms, Brahma jee also took concerned matches such as ox, lion, horse and others.

Later on, these forms are recognized as ‘jeevas.’ According to Hindu Mythology, there are about 84 lakhs jeeva on the earth.

Interestingly, it is believed that the curiosity is still in all male jeevas and compelling them to follow their female partners.

Books: My Real Campanion!

I love books. Not because they give me information or knowledge on a topic but because they are my best companions. I feel delighted to with them and do my necessary mental exercises with them. They give clarity to my understanding and show a direction to my thought process. Books light up a way for me when I found myself amidst the darkness of doubts and confusion. Books, my companion, hold my hand and take me through a journey of ages wherein I experience how things evolved or came into existence. Every word of a book knits a story for me to remember and connect with so various fields. What would I be without the learning that I get from books?

I remember a time when I had no one to talk to, depression trapped my mind and I was on the verge to get lost. It was my companion, books that give me a helping hand to break the darkness around me and face the light hidden beneath. I read and read to enrich my knowledge and improve my understanding in order to become a better person. With my improved wit, I can see different aspects of a situation, problem or subject.

Books are like that necessary ground that nurtures a sapling so that it can become a strong tree. Read books and secure friends forever!

Fear: Your New Life Guru

I love fear. Don’t think I have lost my mind completely!

It is the best teacher you can have to understand and determine the course of entire life including the actions you take, the thoughts you develop, and the decisions you make.

Agreeing to the fact that fear is a dreadful beast that obstructs your doors of growth and prosperity; it guides you see through the darkness of your mind and soul. For instance, when I get on the top of some high-rise buildings where there is a real potential to fall or vertigo, I get to feel my nerves that challenge my fear level. I don’t surrender to my fear but go forward to face it again and again.

It makes a perfect sense that if you jump into the loops of fear, you begin to explore yourself. You can overcome your dreadful feelings as fear has no involvement in your decision making process and it becomes your partner no longer an enemy.

Hence, the aim is to make a friendly relationship with your fear level and use it to lead a better life.

HAPPY JANMASHTAMI...

Enjoy the Festival and Have Unlimited Fun today......

Take a Step to Growth and Freedom on This Independence Day

A View from 1947:

It was a regular day. Like everyday, the sun smiled in the East. Every leaf and flower knew something special had happened. The air was blowing differently with a touch of freshness, closeness and excitement. Birds were chirping as they wanted to share a joyous historic news which can change the future of the world. People were overwhelmed with their emotions as they sense freedom in the real sense. Some were nervous as they consider themselves responsible to shape up the future of a great nation and her people. Some were crying as they had lost all the hopes to witness such an unforgettable moment. Some were very excited and they run from lanes to lanes to tell everyone about the same. The morning came, the flag was hoisted, salutes exchanged, and India was officially recognized as an independent country.

A View from 2009:

It is a regular day. Offices, schools and other institutions are closed to commemorate the 63rd year of the country’s independence. Most people are at home, lazing around, extending their sleep hours, watching televisions for no reason. “Are you excited today?” Ask anyone. They answer, “why excitement, it’s just another holiday.” School going children are excited as they got to wear funny dress to perform their acts in the school independence day celebration. Security personnels can be seen everyone, keeping a strict vigilance on the activities taking place on the day, as most of the cities of the country are under serious terrorist threats.

Are we enjoying our independence in the true sense? Is relaxing at home the whole day only way to mark your care for the nation?

Come out and join hands to fight ill-forces that are making the roots of the country weak. Stand up against injustice, discrimination, deteriorating moral value and killing of human rights. Then only, we can celebrate an Independence Day, the national festival of India in the real sense.
